This was a special project for Nuance Interior Designs. This was a family home for our clients, whose parents bought it in the early 80s, although both have passed away. The goal was to give it a facelift, while keeping to the integrity and soul of the home, as our clients remembered it. The view was so beautiful, we thought we would start there, while looking at giving a facelift of sorts to the decor and interiors as a whole.
The kitchen renovation was incredibly rewarding. We were able to create an entirely new layout with appliances, beautiful cabinetry, countertops, fixtures and more. When we began looking at how to maximize the space, the clients worked hand in hand with us to make sure everything reflected what they wanted to see in the home. We love projects where we can not only update the decor, but handle the complete renovation with installations and all new finishes throughout the home. As part of the process, we also redesigned three bedrooms and the bathrooms in the house, providing all new fixtures, paint, cabinets, furniture, and more.
When we first approached Amber, the idea was to just update our dated family home—perhaps just take a wall out and open up the space. Through consultation, we realized that perhaps taking out the fireplace (not an easy decision) would create a much more beautiful view. The whole experience, from the initial discussions to the remodeling was terrific. Amber handled everything and kept things on schedule, and, most importantly, we felt like we could trust her from the smallest to the biggest detail. We now recommend her to everyone we know.”
XOXO,
